At Anthem, we take a holistic view of dementia. We take into consideration an individual's biological factors (the type and extent of dementia, comorbidities, and specific cognitive and physical limitations) and psychosocial factors (background, history, preferences, and culture), as well as their faith and spiritual practices. Pathways of Purpose embraces evidence-based practices that focus on enhancing well-being and treats activities not as “busy work” but as life-enhancing interventions. Anthem’s life-engagement strategies are created to bring joy into the lives of residents, their family members, and Anthem team members while alleviating the distress that comes from the experience of memory loss. Anthem Memory Care’s overarching purpose is to protect, engage, and love people living with memory loss. Technology in Service of Care

We believe in using technology, not as a replacement to care, but to augment and enhance the experience of your loved one. That is why we use the highly innovative It's Never 2 Late™ (iN2L) interactive programs, that allow residents, regardless of ability level, to use special online programs for recreation, learning, mental stimulation, and even to communicate with their loved ones.

We realize some of our residents are unable to use traditional assistance call systems. We have installed unobtrusive digital technology in our communities in order to monitor the safety of our residents 24/7.

We also offer these services for additional peace of mind through a 3rd party partner.  SafelyYou Respond is a 24x7 AI technology for fall detection. With consent, a camera is activated in a resident’s room, enabling real-time AI video technology to detect falls. Staff will be notified of on-the-ground events and can review the fall video to understand a fall’s severity, how it occurred, and how to reduce the likelihood of it happening again. Fall video only includes events surrounding on-the-ground occurrences.

SafelyYou Aware offers overnight, remote human check-ins. With consent, a camera is activated in the resident's room to generate 1-minute safety check videos approximately every hour between 7pm-7am. A SafelyYou representative reviews the video for obvious safety concerns, notifying the community when a concern is detected, and documenting resident activity.

Multigenerational programs bring smiles and delight to both young and old. Our communities schedule regular visits from student volunteers and trips to local schools to allow residents to engage with young people. It’s a breath of fresh air to observe as eyes light up, along with lots of smiles and laughter. These tender and spontaneous interactions have a way of sparking memories and connecting residents to those around them in fresh, new ways.

Pet Visits

Animals bring with them a unique therapy of their own. Through local partnerships, we are able to provide regular animal visits, and they never fail to bring joy and delight. The positive effects of pet therapy on seniors are well known, but you need only see their faces light up when a friendly animal walks into our center to understand its amazing impact.

Custom Menus & Nutrition

Nutrition is critical to the health and wellness of those with cognitive impairment. This is why we provide a very specialized menu for each of our residents. We work together with you and your loved one's physician to determine the most beneficial nutrition and meal plan. Then we let our chefs go to work to make every meal as tasty and appealing as it is nutritious.
